AutoPkg is the time-savingest thing since sliced bread. But if you administer a software distribution system that includes AutoPkg, you owe it to yourself to be suspicious of recipes and processors. During this newly updated talk, I'll go over a few key ways AutoPkg automation can go bad, provide methods for avoiding such problems, and generally provoke a healthy sense of paranoia in all who attend.

Apple DEP and your MDM Server: How to manage devices over the air
Many Universities and Colleges have really embraced portable tech. When they opt to purchase Apple products, there is a powerful way to manage these devices. Using Apple's DEP and an MDM Server makes sure that IT can keep track of the devices, update software, manage profiles, and most importantly let the end users feel like they're using their own device. This gives the end user a huge sense of ownership, and as a result the end user is more productive, and takes better care of the device.

Mac User and Device Management for the Cloud-Forward Enterprise
(This session will not be recorded)
The modern office looks decidedly different than it did a decade ago. Since 2000, Microsoft has been synonymous with managing the enterprise - from the workstation an employee used, access to applications and networks, to the central identity their Active Directory manages. But todays office structure has evolved past workstations under desks, large monitors and ethernet. Mobility, a wide range of cloud-based apps and services and new, non-Microsoft, operating systems like Mac OS, are changing the way employees are working, and evolving the way IT professionals need to think about managing.
